Not only was this a wonderful western movie it was one of the best movies ever made. “Shane” saw Alan Ladd coming to the rescue of farmers who were being terrorized and threatened by a no good cattle baron. Shane (we never learned his other name) decided to hang up his guns and use honesty, integrity and a good left hook to help the farmers in the battle with the cattle men.

For most of the picture he did just that. Yes, like all good westerns there was a show down at the end of the film and a young Brandon De Wilde shouted after Shane as he rode into the sunset after settling the score with the cowboys in the saloon.
